DEBUGDISCO / PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data DebugDisco processes, why it is needed, and how you can request information or deletion when applicable.

Last updated: October 4, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the DebugDisco Discord bot, web dashboard, and related features offered by the project. When you use the service, some data must be processed for authentication, audio playback, server configuration, favorites, history, and operational security.

2. Data we process

Depending on the features you use, DebugDisco may process the following categories of data:

  • Discord account data required for authentication, such as user ID, username, and avatar.
  • Data about servers managed or used with the bot, including server, channel, and role IDs and names needed to apply settings and permissions.
  • Music usage data such as requesting user, media query or URL, track title, duration, playback timestamps, and skip status.
  • Bot preferences and settings such as volume, language, allowed channels, DJ roles, favorites, autoplay, and other server options.
  • Technical session data required to sign in to the dashboard, including the session cookie and Discord OAuth tokens while the session remains valid.

3. How data is used

Data is processed only to operate and maintain DebugDisco features, including:

  • running commands, playing music, managing queues, favorites, and playback history;
  • authenticating administrators and applying per-server settings and permissions;
  • preventing abuse, diagnosing failures, keeping technical logs, and protecting the service;
  • producing operational metrics and usage statistics shown in the dashboard.

4. Sharing and third-party services

DebugDisco does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

To provide the service, data may be sent to or received from platforms required for operation, primarily Discord and media providers such as YouTube, as well as hosting infrastructure. Your use of those platforms is also subject to their own policies and terms.

5. Retention and deletion

Dashboard sessions expire according to service configuration or when the user signs out. Operational data, settings, favorites, history, and audit records may be retained while needed for operation, security, support, and project statistics.

When applicable, you may request deletion or correction of data associated with your account or server. Some minimum records may be preserved when necessary for security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

6. Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect sessions, credentials, and stored data, including HTTP-only cookies, access controls, and dashboard security mechanisms. No internet-connected system, however, can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Where applicable law provides these rights, including Brazil's LGPD, you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, portability where applicable, information about sharing, and deletion of personal data, subject to legal exceptions.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service, technical features, or legal requirements. The date of the current version will always be displayed on this page.

9. Contact

For privacy questions or requests related to your data, use the support server listed on the website or the project owner's website.
